90W Hood Solar Panel for Mercedes Sprinter 3rd Gen (2019-Present)

Almost there

Everything was as advertised, but the vinyl decal was WAY too large. I had to cut nearly an inch off all the way around. When you put them on the hood, they overlapped and looked terrible. I haven’t hooked up the charger yet, but am assuming it will do the trick and keep the chassis battery topped off.
Update: Orion refunded me for the vinyl and is contacting the manufacturer. Really happy with their customer service.

Quality hardware, easy install

Ordered a T250 MR Rack, solar panels, and deck as a package hoping everything would work together properly. CAD drawing were helpful confirming layout and installation locations. Hardware quality is great and components fit my van perfectly.
The instructions are really good and support was quick to answer my questions. I was able to do the install solo with no problems. It looks great, has good aerodynamics, and doesn't add any noticeable wind noise at speed.I am very happy with the results!

We ordered the roof rack, deck panels, walkable solar panels, lights on all four sides, all fasteners and cable accessories and a Maxxair fan from Orion. EVERYTHING was of the highest quality and their customer support and service was exceptional! From doing the CAD design to calculating what parts we would need they were awesome.

Fan Update

Replaced my OEM fan with the Maxxair 7500K MaxxFan Deluxe on our Winnabego Solis Pocket. Our original Maxxair Fan failed and we took the opportunity to replace the fan with the Maxxair 7500K so we could take advantage of the ability to either draw air in or, draw air out of the van. The fan remote is also a nice feature.

Roof Deck Panels on AVC RIG roof rack

I used a mix of Sprinter and Ford Transit roof deck panels 2.0 to maximize the roof space. See photo. I like the size options, flush mount screws and powder coating. Makes for a nice look. Versatility of L-track hole locations are TBD. need some big trips.

Solis Pocket Stealth+ Roof Rack

The Rack

The rack support lot of cool stuff on the van. We installed the new 400 watts solar panels on the roof plus the ladder. We got to install the lights for the back from other vendor as we couldn't use the one from Orion Gear on Solis Pocket. WeBoost was add on the crossbar get a better reception. We had to replace bolts from WeBoost to fit on the rack.
