Upgrade your assembly game with Orion Van Gear’s self-aligning 10 Series stainless steel roll-in T-nuts (1/4-20 thread), built for strength, precision, and corrosion resistance. Designed for DIY’ers, van builders, and professional fabricators, these fasteners make installing components on 10-Series aluminum extrusions faster, cleaner, and more secure. The perfect solution for securely attaching components to our Sprinter and Transit Roof Rack Crossbars.
When we first started, stainless steel 1/4-20 T-nuts didn’t exist - only zinc versions that quickly rusted on roof racks. We created the first all-stainless option for long-term durability, and have since upgraded it again with two precision self-aligning grooves that make positioning easier, faster, and more consistent. You won’t find these grooves on any other stainless 10-Series T-nuts.
Attach solar brackets, deck panels, corner brackets, hinges, joining plates, and more with confidence. Whether you’re building a roof rack, CNC frame, 3D printer, robotics setup, or custom fabrication project, these T-nuts deliver professional-grade reliability for any application.
They’re used to secure components to T-slot aluminum extrusions. Perfect for van builds, roof racks, and fabrication projects, especially where end access is limited.
Ours are 304 stainless steel and feature both a ball spring and dual self-aligning grooves, giving you easier installation and better precision.
Yes - fully compatible with 8020 10-Series and equivalent profiles, including Orion Van Gear roof rack crossbars.
Stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance, especially outdoors. Zinc and carbon steel nuts eventually rust; these won’t.
No, bolts are sold separately. Use standard 1/4-20 hardware for your application.
Orders ship within 1–2 business days with free shipping to the lower 48 states.

Great A/C so far, combined with DIYVan roof adapter, able to make it sit flush with ceiling on inside of the van. On a 170EXT, I opted for (2) of the 48v mini A/C to separate front and back. Combined with the 5kwh Ecoflow system, I can run both AC all night off battery power only. I'm happy with them, and Orion is always a huge help in answering questions and support.
This roof rack is a Cadillac. Clear, well written instructions in full English. I wanted a rack that could fit 600 watts of solar, a rooftop AC and a max air fan. Steve helped me last the design out and chose panels. The goal was to fit two 200w panels in North/South orientation by the wind deflector, AC and maxxair fan in the big bay aft of the c pillar rib and a third 200w panel by the rear deflector.
This rack has more usable interior space than any other rack I could find, especially in the East/West measurement. It is rock solid, only weighs 80lbs and looks great.
It is one of the more expensive racks out there but for my build it was money well spent. I like supporting American companies that make nice things and this is a very nice thing.
Great company to work with, thanks for prompt delivery ,,,,.5 stars for this company.
Great setup. The dual 48V minis are a nice way to control front and rear zones on a 170EXT, and pairing them with the EcoFlow 5kWh system works really well for overnight runtime. Glad everything is working well, and we appreciate the support. Let us know if you ever need anything.
Really appreciate you taking the time to write this and share the details of your setup. That layout you described is exactly the type of planning we try to make possible with these racks. Being able to fit solar, ventilation, and AC without wasting roof space is a big part of the design. Glad the CAD layout helped you land on a configuration that worked. Also good to hear the install instructions did their job. We put a lot of effort into making them clear so people can actually get everything mounted without a headache. Thanks again for the support and for choosing to go with an american-made rack. Always cool to see these builds come together the way they were intended.
We just installed a Stealth+ on our 2026 High Roof Transit. So glad to have an option that works with the new shark fin antenna location in the '26 model year. Another advantage of the Stealth+ rack is that its usable area is wider and longer than other racks. That, along with the Orion team's help in providing CAD layouts was SUPER helpful in thinking through our roof layout and how to fit 600W of solar along with a vent fan and Starlink Mini.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that the Stealth+ was a perfect fit for your 2026 High Roof Transit, especially with the new shark fin antenna location. We take pride in providing solutions that cater to the latest updates. Thank you for choosing Orion and happy travels!
