About Us

At Orion Van Gear, we build the kind of products we would want on our own vans.

Everything we make is designed with a simple goal in mind: make it strong, make it useful, and make it easy to live with. We build our products in Oregon because we care about quality, fit, and being able to stand behind what we sell.

We are not interested in cutting corners. We want our gear to hold up to real travel, rough roads, bad weather, and daily use. That means thoughtful design, durable materials, and products that are made to last.

We also think van gear should look like it belongs on the van, not like something added as an afterthought. Good design is not just about strength; it is also about function, fit, and how everything works together. Our goal is to give customers a system they can tailor to their needs, whether that means maximizing solar, storage, deck space, lighting, ventilation, or keeping the setup as clean and low profile as possible.

But good products are only part of it. Customer service matters just as much. If you have a question, need help planning a setup, or want a more tailored roof configuration, we do our best to make the process easier. That is also why we offer our CAD Roof Layout Service for Orion roof rack customers who want to maximize solar, storage, ventilation, Starlink, and deck space.

Our team has spent years building, using, and traveling in vans, so we understand how important it is for gear to fit right, install without a fight, and actually work in the real world.

One of the things we are best known for is our adjustable, vehicle-specific, form-fitting roof racks. We design them to install cleanly and give you flexibility for solar, decking, lighting, ladders, storage, and more. Whether you are building out a weekend van or a full-time rig, we want the rack to work for your setup, not force you into ours.

We also know many customers want something they can install themselves, so we put a lot of thought into making our products DIY-friendly whenever possible. And if you would rather have help, we also work with a network of trusted builders and installers.

We are proud to build our gear here in Oregon and ship it FREE across the country. More than anything, we are proud to support the people who trust us with their vans.

Thanks for being here.

See you on the road.
