These OEM roof rails provide the ideal foundation for roof racks, solar panels, deck panels, and cargo systems. They offer a clean factory fit and finish and are available for Sprinter 144", 170", and 170 EXT models. Mercedes-Benz option code D13 refers to the factory-installed roof rails themselves, not simply roof rail preparation. If your build sheet lists D13, your Sprinter was originally equipped with factory roof rails. If your 2019+ Sprinter does not list D13 and does not currently have roof rails, that does not automatically mean drilling is required. Check the factory roof channels for mounting plugs and the corresponding mounting locations inside the van. Many 2019+ vans have accessible factory mounting locations that allow the rails to be retrofitted.
If you are unsure, email us photos of the roof channels and the corresponding locations from inside the van before ordering, and we can help confirm compatibility. Older W906 Sprinters (2006–2018) may also be compatible, but installation requirements can differ and drilling may be required depending on the vehicle.

Not necessarily. On many 2019+ Sprinters, the factory roof mounting locations can be accessed by removing the plugs in the roof channels. If those mounting locations are present and compatible, the rails can be installed using the factory locations. Installation requirements can vary, particularly on older 2006–2018 W906 vans.
All OEM rails we sell are silver aluminum finish. Mercedes-Benz does not offer a factory black version.

Are these roof rails for the 144 for the high or low roof? I would imagine the low roof would have longer rails. I am looking for rails for the 144 low roof.
They work for both the low-roof and high-roof 144 Sprinter. The roof rails are the same.
Love it! I researched a lot before deciding on Orion. I just think their design out looks all the others. This is functional, solid, and easy install. Customer service was excellent. They answered all my questions. I didn’t build my van, I bought it already done. Solar panel and all, I was able to move the solar panel to a better location using their solar panel brackets, I’ll easily add some decking following their recommendations of what decking product to use, and be able to store items I don’t want in the van. Love supporting a local Oregon business. Would recommend them to everyone. Oh and I got the rack with the lights. Totally recommend. The install was perfect and they really light up the night!

Very nice, well built and affordable panels.
I just drove the van for the first time with the rack and 400w solar upgrade installed. At 70+ mph (eastbound) the wind noise / speech intelligibility was not degraded and may have even improved. The front fairing and its integration into the rack is a very nice design. Looks fantastic on the van. Excellent engineering! The assembly guides are well detailed and the team responds to all additional questions within 24 hours, which is outstanding support. The slightly higher premium paid for the Orion Van Gear Stealth Rack verses the completion is worth every penny. Highly recommended.
