If your sprinter van has option D13, factory roof rail prep, then these roof rails bolt right on, no drilling, no guesswork. The ideal foundation for roof racks, solar panels, deck panels, and cargo systems. Stronger, cleaner, and more durable than aftermarket options, with a factory-direct fit and finish you can trust.
These rails can work on older W906 chassis vans (2006–2018) or 2019+ vans without the factory D13 option, but installation may require drilling (without D13, there are no roof provisions for the studs to pass through). To check for drill-less compatibility: Look for option code D13 on your build sheet or data card, or check inside the roof for plastic plugs that indicate rail-ready mount points
The older W906 chassis should work, but you may need to drill holes where the bolts come into the van similar to what you would have to do with any aftermarket roof rail.
D13 is a Mercedes-Benz factory option that includes the internal mounting points necessary to install OEM roof rails without drilling. Vans without this code cannot accept factory rails without modification.
You can check your build sheet or look inside the roof cavity for plastic plugs that align with the roof channel. These plugs mark where the studs for the rails will go through the roof.
No drilling is needed if your van has option D13 and is 2019+. The rails use factory provisions and are secured with included hardware and sealed rubber mounts.
All OEM rails we sell are silver aluminum finish. Mercedes-Benz does not offer a factory black version.
Yes. These OEM rails are exactly what our Orion roof racks are designed to mount to, ensuring the best possible fit and finish.

Are these roof rails for the 144 for the high or low roof? I would imagine the low roof would have longer rails. I am looking for rails for the 144 low roof.
They work for both the low-roof and high-roof 144 Sprinter. The roof rails are the same.
I just finished the install of the MaxxFan Deluxe, replacing a stock vent fan in our new Class C MH. Following the written (and online ‘how to’ videos) guidance, the install was straightforward. Most of the 3.5 hour job was spent cleaning off the old lap sealant in preparation for the new fan.
Fan works well in all functions. Thank you MaxxAir for a good product and thank you Orion for a great sales price!

So quiet. Easy to install. We received the wrong item from Orion (black interior control panel vs white) We contacted them via email and they immediately gave us several options to make it right. The fan works great and the customer service Orion provides is top notch.
Orion Van Gear offered the best pricing on my two new MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe fans and they arrive SO fast. The install on our our 5th wheel went exceptionally well. Thank you for the great experiences.
Hi Jamye, Sorry about the mix-up with the interior panel, but we're glad we could resolve it quickly. Thanks for your kind words and video! Its a slick fan!
Amazing product so far. Big pro is it's low draw on my jacket 600v. 4 days of use and the battery percentage is still at 70%. Convenience of the remote being able to be used from anywhere. The noise level is very low at 40-50% fan power. I chose this unit instead of maxxair because it matched my van aesthetically and it's very low profile that i'm still able to park inside my work's parking structure. The con was during installation, this unit did not come with a sleeve that bridges the gap from the headliner to the fan itself. It did not sit flush and the manual **** that pushes up the metal rod(the longest one) does not reach because of it. I have to rely on the remote. Very good purchase and it's perfect for what i use it for.
We’re glad to hear the NomadicArk fan has been working well for your setup, especially the low power draw, quiet operation, remote control, and low-profile fit for parking structures.
One note on the install: the AirPlus is designed differently than a MaxxFan and does not use or include an interior sleeve. The fan is rated for a maximum roof thickness of about 3 1/8'. By comparison, a MaxxFan 7500K includes a sleeve-style interior garnish that can accommodate a thicker roof/headliner stack, up to about 6'.
Thanks again for the feedback, and we’re happy it ended up being a great fit for your van.
