Our Sprinter Drop Down Solar Panel Brackets are the cleanest way to mount rigid solar panels to our Sprinter Stealth+ Roof Rack. Designed to drop 1.2" thick solar panels (most rigid panels) so that the top surface is flush with the top edge of the Stealth+ Sprinter Roof Rack. This gives the Sprinter rack a super clean appearance while also reducing drag and potential shading on your solar panels. Each bracket has a slotted hole for your solar panels and a centered hole to easily mount them to our crossbars with included hardware. Combine these with our Sprinter Modular Roof Deck Panels to create a fully flush roof profile.
Please contact us if you need help determining the number of brackets needed for your roof configuration. For a faster response, please detail what panels you are using and how many you have.
We understand that every van setup is unique. That's why we offer CAD-verified roof layouts for customers who have purchased or plan to purchase an Orion roof rack - so you can maximize space and fit exactly what you need, where you need it. Request a layout here ›

Solar panel mounting brackets praised for easy installation and adjustment on roof rack systems. Customers said they "work like a charm" with strong construction and quality finish. Enable flush mounting for solar panels while allowing easy panel removal. Compatible with various roof rack configurations.
22 day delivery time. I guess it happens often with USPS going thru L.A. Update. Issues with this order and delivery have been resolved. Thanks for the quick response.
They work pretty good maybe put the long slot on both sides.
After Hurricane Milton, I was without power for five days. No amount of cleaning would get my two gas generators working again. These panels provide great power to my Jackery 1000 v2. Currently set up to deliver power through the Jacker to my desktop Ham radio station. Pulling terrific wattage, loom great, outstanding product.
Ted, We are so glad to hear that it help you after Hurricane Milton! Thank you for choosing Orion for your solar needs. Stay safe and stay powered!
I’m very pleased with the performance of this set up. My van was in deep shade until after 9 AM this morning and I still captured almost 100 AH. Boondocking game changer!
What a well engineered kit to add an extra 350 watts to my Solis Pocket roof plus a few more from part of my old solar panels exposure. They couldn’t have made adding solar any easier. Well done!
We're thrilled to hear that our Solis Pocket 350 Watt Solar Upgrade Kit was able to double your solar power output. We pride ourselves on providing well-engineered and user-friendly products, so we're glad to know that the installation process was easy for you. We appreciate your support and hope you continue to enjoy the benefits of renewable energy. Happy solar-ing!
While the stock 170W panel is enough to keep your house batteries topped up in good conditions w/ the just the fridge on while the van is parked in the driveway, it will not keep up with active use while boondocking for multiple days. With this set up I have been able to park and live/work in my Pocket 36A for 5 days (running fridge, Truma heater, lights, audio equipment, laptop, phone, WeBoost) in mixed wether without my house batteries becoming a concern. In light of other options that would allow me this flexibility, this package got me there very easily and relatively inexpensively in that I had already added the rack to mount my ladder, Fiamma 45s awning, and WeBoost Drive Reach overland antenna. The folks at Orion have been great to work with all along the way… quality products backed by top shelf customer service. Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We are thrilled to hear that our Solis Pocket 350 Watt Solar Upgrade Kit has been a game changer for you. It's great to know that you have been able to comfortably live and work in your van for multiple days without worrying about your house batteries. We take pride in providing quality products and excellent customer service, and we're happy to have been able to help you with your set up. Thank you for choosing Orion and happy travels!
Well designed and crafted, made adding solar panels to our Orion Stealth rack a breeze.
Love these! Well made, and super plug and play with our Orion Stealth Rack. The added capture capacity is a game changer for extended boondocking. Wish I had room for two more!
Greg, Thanks for the stellar review! We're thrilled they've been a perfect match for your Orion Stealth Rack and have elevated your Solis Pocket boondocking experiences. Happy adventures! - Orion Van Gear Team
Product worked absolutely perfectly as most impressed with the stainless steel hardware that fit exactly into my pro rack. I thought I was gonna have to make something but it was a perfect fit.
The perfect fit onto truck Northern Lite camper roof to join its identical solar panels. Good to have these still available. Thanks!
I'm excited to start using this panel in my off grid system I'm building. I have a truck tool box I have 3 lifepo4 100ah batteries and a victron 100-50 charge controller. 3000watt power inverter. I will have 120 and 12 volt out puts. and all the wiring and fuses and switches I need for my build. This panel I will mount to the top of the box. Only thing I could gripe about is the corners of the panel are very sharp and a concern about cutting myself is the only thing I can complain about but that's not really a issue. Kinda wish the panel would at least have came with basic mounting hardware. It ships with just the panel and nothing else not even a spec sheet. Over all I'm happy to complete my project using this high quality panel.
Thanks for the review, and glad the panel is a good fit for your off grid build, that sounds like a solid setup. Good callout on the corners. They’re aluminum and can feel sharp out of the box, so we always recommend handling with gloves during install. On the specs, they’re on the sticker on the back of the panel.
Orion Van Gear is an amazing small business! I had 1 solar panel arrive shattered and reported it to the carrier and Orion. Orion apologized and sent me a replacement the next business day. They even coordinated the claim with the carrier.
I am impressed with their customer service. Not once did I get the run-around and they kept me abreast of every action to resolve the mishap.
Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Even when shipping issues happen, our goal is always to make things right quickly and keep you updated every step of the way. We’re glad everything worked out and truly appreciate your support!
Installed these on the 1010 cross rails on my Sprinter Orion Rack. They work like a charm: very easy to adjust, allow easy panel removal, and are strong and nicely finished. Good stuff!
Thank you for your review! We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing our product. Have a fantastic day!
Replaced my current panels on my Revel and was able to free up nearly a foot of space. This allowed me to mount my starlink much easier.
Installed on a 118 WB promaster cargo, paired with the Orion stealth roof rack, and the flush mount brackets, for a near seamless finished look. 2x of these is the perfect fit for 500w of solar, powering my goal zero 1500x is more then enough to keep a charge on all my tools, run my portable goal zero atla 50 fridge/freezer, and still have plenty of power to spare.
We're thrilled to hear that the setup with our Orion Stealth Roof Rack and flush mount brackets is working perfectly for you. It sounds like you've created an incredibly efficient and seamless solar solution for your Promaster. If you ever need anything else, we're here to help. Happy adventuring!
These are perfect for a flush mount for my solar panels with the Aluminess DIY roof rack system! I’m able to fit an AC, (2) solar panels, and a Maxair Fan on a 144 roof.
This review is for Orion...because for Renogy you can put the minus sign and add the nubmer you want...it was awful dealing with Renogy. Orion custumer service was excellent, as Renogy sent many times the wrong panels, despite them telling the right size all the time, they still had worse understanding than a donkey, and sent all over again the wrong ones. I was already tired of going back to fedex with the returning ones, in a time that my health has not been the best. Thank you Orion.
Whew! Glad we got through that one! We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with receiving the wrong panels multiple times. To give context this customer wanted the older G2 version of this panel and Renogy kept sending the newer G3 version. We understand how frustrating that can be, especially when your health is not at its best. We are glad that our customer service team at Orion was able to assist you and provide excellent service - and finally get the corretc panel that you needed. - OVG
I just installed the Orion roof rack to my sprinter 170 wb van and I want to put in drop down brackets for solar. I want 600 w solar but not sure if they will fit. How many sets of brackets would I need?
To achieve 600 watts of solar power on your Sprinter 170 WB van with the Orion roof rack, you'll typically need three 3x or 4x 180w. For each solar panel, you would need 1 set of drop-down brackets, so for three panels, you would need a total of 3 sets of drop-down brackets. If you're unsure about the fitment or want to ensure everything aligns perfectly, we highly recommend requesting a CAD-verified roof layout. Our team can help you verify the fitment and optimize the placement of your solar panels on the roof rack. https://orionvangear.com/pages/cad-verified-roof-layout
I want a Expedia to delivery but can’t see that option. Can we discuss this?

I just finished the install of the MaxxFan Deluxe, replacing a stock vent fan in our new Class C MH. Following the written (and online ‘how to’ videos) guidance, the install was straightforward. Most of the 3.5 hour job was spent cleaning off the old lap sealant in preparation for the new fan.
Fan works well in all functions. Thank you MaxxAir for a good product and thank you Orion for a great sales price!
Tonto H.
So quiet. Easy to install. We received the wrong item from Orion (black interior control panel vs white) We contacted them via email and they immediately gave us several options to make it right. The fan works great and the customer service Orion provides is top notch.
Orion Van Gear offered the best pricing on my two new MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe fans and they arrive SO fast. The install on our our 5th wheel went exceptionally well. Thank you for the great experiences.
Hi Jamye, Sorry about the mix-up with the interior panel, but we're glad we could resolve it quickly. Thanks for your kind words and video! Its a slick fan!
Amazing product so far. Big pro is it's low draw on my jacket 600v. 4 days of use and the battery percentage is still at 70%. Convenience of the remote being able to be used from anywhere. The noise level is very low at 40-50% fan power. I chose this unit instead of maxxair because it matched my van aesthetically and it's very low profile that i'm still able to park inside my work's parking structure. The con was during installation, this unit did not come with a sleeve that bridges the gap from the headliner to the fan itself. It did not sit flush and the manual **** that pushes up the metal rod(the longest one) does not reach because of it. I have to rely on the remote. Very good purchase and it's perfect for what i use it for.
We’re glad to hear the NomadicArk fan has been working well for your setup, especially the low power draw, quiet operation, remote control, and low-profile fit for parking structures.
One note on the install: the AirPlus is designed differently than a MaxxFan and does not use or include an interior sleeve. The fan is rated for a maximum roof thickness of about 3 1/8'. By comparison, a MaxxFan 7500K includes a sleeve-style interior garnish that can accommodate a thicker roof/headliner stack, up to about 6'.
Thanks again for the feedback, and we’re happy it ended up being a great fit for your van.
