Discover the outstanding performance of our semi-rigid 160-watt walkable marine solar panel, designed specifically for Sprinter, Transit and Promaster vans. These are NOT your typical flexible solar panels! With premium HJT solar cells, these panels offer good efficiency, featuring a durable backing and ETFE laminate non-skid surface that is designed to be walked on. For the best solar cells and efficiency, look at our 160W SunPower panel. Ideal for van roofs, they redefine versatility in solar energy solutions.
The panel's advanced HJT technology delivers up to 6-14% more energy than standard monocrystalline cells. There is no glass and no aluminum frame so these panels are considerably lighter than rigid panels but heavier and stiffer than typical flexible panels. They can be bent slightly to match up with the underlying surface, about 5%. The white backing is better at dissipating heat. For maximum space utilization and functionality on your van roof, combine these walkable solar panels with Orion's modular deck panels for the ultimate solution.
The 160W walkable marine solar panel features exceptional durability, premium A-Grade HJT solar cells, and a semi-rigid design. It has a durable backing, ETFE laminate non-skid surface, and is lightweight, making it ideal for van roofs, RV roofs, or sailboats.
Yes, the panels have an ETFE laminate non-skid surface that makes them walkable without damaging the solar cells.
These panels are perfect for rigid surfaces such as van roofs, RV roofs, or sailboats.
The 160W solar panel measures 26.4" x 47.7" and weighs 11.8 pounds.
The panel uses Class A Monocrystalline HJT cells, known for their high efficiency and performance.
The cell conversion efficiency is 24.2%.
The manufacturer provides a 1-year warranty at 80% efficiency, plus a 4-year prorated warranty.
Kind of, the panels are semi-rigid and can be bent approximately 5% to match the underlying surface, offering flexibility in installation.
The panels are only available with a white backing as the performance is better for all van applications.

Great A/C so far, combined with DIYVan roof adapter, able to make it sit flush with ceiling on inside of the van. On a 170EXT, I opted for (2) of the 48v mini A/C to separate front and back. Combined with the 5kwh Ecoflow system, I can run both AC all night off battery power only. I'm happy with them, and Orion is always a huge help in answering questions and support.
This roof rack is a Cadillac. Clear, well written instructions in full English. I wanted a rack that could fit 600 watts of solar, a rooftop AC and a max air fan. Steve helped me last the design out and chose panels. The goal was to fit two 200w panels in North/South orientation by the wind deflector, AC and maxxair fan in the big bay aft of the c pillar rib and a third 200w panel by the rear deflector.
This rack has more usable interior space than any other rack I could find, especially in the East/West measurement. It is rock solid, only weighs 80lbs and looks great.
It is one of the more expensive racks out there but for my build it was money well spent. I like supporting American companies that make nice things and this is a very nice thing.
Great company to work with, thanks for prompt delivery ,,,,.5 stars for this company.
Great setup. The dual 48V minis are a nice way to control front and rear zones on a 170EXT, and pairing them with the EcoFlow 5kWh system works really well for overnight runtime. Glad everything is working well, and we appreciate the support. Let us know if you ever need anything.
Really appreciate you taking the time to write this and share the details of your setup. That layout you described is exactly the type of planning we try to make possible with these racks. Being able to fit solar, ventilation, and AC without wasting roof space is a big part of the design. Glad the CAD layout helped you land on a configuration that worked. Also good to hear the install instructions did their job. We put a lot of effort into making them clear so people can actually get everything mounted without a headache. Thanks again for the support and for choosing to go with an american-made rack. Always cool to see these builds come together the way they were intended.
We just installed a Stealth+ on our 2026 High Roof Transit. So glad to have an option that works with the new shark fin antenna location in the '26 model year. Another advantage of the Stealth+ rack is that its usable area is wider and longer than other racks. That, along with the Orion team's help in providing CAD layouts was SUPER helpful in thinking through our roof layout and how to fit 600W of solar along with a vent fan and Starlink Mini.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that the Stealth+ was a perfect fit for your 2026 High Roof Transit, especially with the new shark fin antenna location. We take pride in providing solutions that cater to the latest updates. Thank you for choosing Orion and happy travels!
