Mount it anywhere between the wheel wells, pair with an Orion Stealth Sprinter Rack or use our optional roof-rail bracket, and reach your roof deck panels without stepping onto solar panels.
This ladder is built for real-world van life. Mount it anywhere between the wheel wells so the top lands exactly where you need it to access a deck panel without leaving you stranded on a solar panel or open roof area. Use it with an Orion Stealth+ Rack for a direct bolt-on setup, or choose the roof rail bracket version to attach to OEM roof rails when you don’t have an Orion rack installed.
The two-piece ladder tracks the Sprinter’s body lines for excellent looks and ergonomics. It mounts to the lower pinch seam with a supplied bracket and secures at the top to the rack, or to the optional roof-rail bracket on non-Orion setups. From cleaning solar, loading gear, and brushing off snow to rooftop chilling, this side ladder turns your roof into usable space you can access in seconds.
Compatibility:
Yes. Choose the roof‑rail bracket version; it includes a top bracket that attaches to the OEM roof rails. The standard version bolts directly to an Orion Stealth+ Rack.
Anywhere along the driver side between the wheel wells. This lets you line the top of the ladder up with a deck panel and avoid stepping on solar panels or open roof areas.
The complete two‑piece ladder, all mounting hardware for the lower pinch‑seam bracket and for the top connection to a Stealth+ Rack. The roof‑rail bracket (for non‑Orion setups) is included only with the roof‑rail version.
Generally no. Most full‑length boards block the lower ladder mount. If you plan to run boards, we recommend half‑length or three‑quarter‑length boards.
The ladder weighs 11 lb and uses 1.25" aluminum tubing with a premium UV‑resistant powder‑coat finish.
We understand that every van setup is unique. That's why we offer CAD-verified roof layouts for customers who have purchased or plan to purchase an Orion roof rack - so you can maximize space and fit exactly what you need, where you need it. Request a layout here ›
Great A/C so far, combined with DIYVan roof adapter, able to make it sit flush with ceiling on inside of the van. On a 170EXT, I opted for (2) of the 48v mini A/C to separate front and back. Combined with the 5kwh Ecoflow system, I can run both AC all night off battery power only. I'm happy with them, and Orion is always a huge help in answering questions and support.
Great setup. The dual 48V minis are a nice way to control front and rear zones on a 170EXT, and pairing them with the EcoFlow 5kWh system works really well for overnight runtime. Glad everything is working well, and we appreciate the support. Let us know if you ever need anything.
This roof rack is a Cadillac. Clear, well written instructions in full English. I wanted a rack that could fit 600 watts of solar, a rooftop AC and a max air fan. Steve helped me last the design out and chose panels. The goal was to fit two 200w panels in North/South orientation by the wind deflector, AC and maxxair fan in the big bay aft of the c pillar rib and a third 200w panel by the rear deflector.
This rack has more usable interior space than any other rack I could find, especially in the East/West measurement. It is rock solid, only weighs 80lbs and looks great.
It is one of the more expensive racks out there but for my build it was money well spent. I like supporting American companies that make nice things and this is a very nice thing.
Really appreciate you taking the time to write this and share the details of your setup. That layout you described is exactly the type of planning we try to make possible with these racks. Being able to fit solar, ventilation, and AC without wasting roof space is a big part of the design. Glad the CAD layout helped you land on a configuration that worked. Also good to hear the install instructions did their job. We put a lot of effort into making them clear so people can actually get everything mounted without a headache. Thanks again for the support and for choosing to go with an american-made rack. Always cool to see these builds come together the way they were intended.
Great company to work with, thanks for prompt delivery ,,,,.5 stars for this company.
We just installed a Stealth+ on our 2026 High Roof Transit. So glad to have an option that works with the new shark fin antenna location in the '26 model year. Another advantage of the Stealth+ rack is that its usable area is wider and longer than other racks. That, along with the Orion team's help in providing CAD layouts was SUPER helpful in thinking through our roof layout and how to fit 600W of solar along with a vent fan and Starlink Mini.
Thank you for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that the Stealth+ was a perfect fit for your 2026 High Roof Transit, especially with the new shark fin antenna location. We take pride in providing solutions that cater to the latest updates. Thank you for choosing Orion and happy travels!
