Once these are gone, they won’t be restocked. Ideal for customers with older walkable panel setups or custom projects requiring sub-0.168" panel thickness. These will not fit the latest walkable solar panels, which now use taller J-channels designed to accommodate the included polycarbonate backing sheets.

Overview

These 48" aluminum H-channel rails were designed to secure the long edges of two walkable solar panels mounted side by side on your roof rack. They help prevent wind lift and ensure a clean, low-profile finish.

Installation Notes

Attach to your deck platform using 3M VHB double-sided tape (not included).
Slide panels into the channel, then fasten all four corners using rivnuts, bolts, and corner washers. Important: Do not install without bolts.

Power

The panels work great and I have yet to plug in to shore power. I have left the battery heaters on and the power takes care of the battery’s first thing in the morning. I have only been on one trip. Ran all power and never was below 550w in the morning.

Awesome DIY Roof Rack with Walking Solar Deck!

The Orion roof rack with their deck panels allowed us to get 600 watts of walkable solar panels on our 170 sprinter! This roof rack system has a Maxxair Fan, a 12v AC, a full deck, and 600 watts of walkable solar! Can't beat that.

Very clean and secure look

I had made some washers, but these ones just make it look cleaner and there more secure. Nice job guys I would recommend them to anyone.

This is a fantastic solar panel for my sprinter. It's very thin and bulletproof, very walkable.

I just finished the install of the MaxxFan Deluxe, replacing a stock vent fan in our new Class C MH. Following the written (and online ‘how to’ videos) guidance, the install was straightforward. Most of the 3.5 hour job was spent cleaning off the old lap sealant in preparation for the new fan.

Fan works well in all functions. Thank you MaxxAir for a good product and thank you Orion for a great sales price!

So quiet. Easy to install. We received the wrong item from Orion (black interior control panel vs white) We contacted them via email and they immediately gave us several options to make it right. The fan works great and the customer service Orion provides is top notch.

Amazing product so far. Big pro is it's low draw on my jacket 600v. 4 days of use and the battery percentage is still at 70%. Convenience of the remote being able to be used from anywhere. The noise level is very low at 40-50% fan power. I chose this unit instead of maxxair because it matched my van aesthetically and it's very low profile that i'm still able to park inside my work's parking structure. The con was during installation, this unit did not come with a sleeve that bridges the gap from the headliner to the fan itself. It did not sit flush and the manual **** that pushes up the metal rod(the longest one) does not reach because of it. I have to rely on the remote. Very good purchase and it's perfect for what i use it for.

One note on the install: the AirPlus is designed differently than a MaxxFan and does not use or include an interior sleeve. The fan is rated for a maximum roof thickness of about 3 1/8'. By comparison, a MaxxFan 7500K includes a sleeve-style interior garnish that can accommodate a thicker roof/headliner stack, up to about 6'.
