The gold standard for RV and Van electrical systems.

Purpose-built for van & RV owners who want serious off-grid power without the complexity of a custom electrical system. The 5kVA Power Kit (Gen 2) is a compact, integrated plug-and-play system with labeled components, over-the-air updates, and a 5-year warranty. It uses half the space and weighs 50 lb less than comparable solutions.

  • Simple DIY Install: Save hundreds of hours vs. building a Victron system
  • 5-Year Comprehensive Warranty
  • No Guesswork. No Stress.

The 5kVA EcoFlow Power Kit is engineered for vans, RVs, and marine environments. At its core is the Power Hub, delivering up to 4000W of continuous power. The Power Hub combines an inverter/charger, a DC-DC battery charger, a DC-DC step-down converter, and two MPPT solar charge controllers, eliminating complex wiring and multiple separate components.

✔️ 5kVA Output (4000W continuous / 8000W surge): Can handle two 13,500 BTU A/Cs at once with no soft starter.
✔️ 4 Charging Methods: Shore power, solar, alternator, and generator
✔️ Up to 4800W Solar Input: Three solar-capable inputs provide flexible mixed panel configuration.
✔️ Dedicated 48V Output Port: Ideal for 48V A/C power
✔️ Battery Expandability: 5kWh to 45kWh capacity (mix & match sizes)
✔️ Smart Control: Manage everything from the app and  the 7" monitor

Customize Your Power System

Other sites make it difficult to understand what you need. We simplify the process. All Orion kits include a 7" Power Console, Cable Pack, and Battery Mounting Straps. The Cable Pack includes plug-and-play AC, DC, solar, and alternator charging cables for secure, efficient setup.

👉 STEP 1: Choose Total Battery Configuration/Capacity (5kWh to 45kWh)

👉 STEP 2: Choose Your AC/DC Distribution Panel (30A or 30/50A):
We recommend the 30/50A panel for most builds. It offers more circuits, higher DC circuit capacity, and uses standard household breakers (sold separately). It also avoids the additional ring-terminal crimping required when connecting the Gen 2 Hub to the 30A panel. Choose the 30A panel when installation space is limited. It uses proprietary EcoFlow breakers (included) and requires additional ring terminals (not included) and crimping. Both provide 120V power from the batteries. The 30/50A panel also supports 120/240V service when connected to compatible 50A shore power. See the comparison table below for circuit counts and ratings.

👉 STEP 3: Choose Optional Accessories:

48V A/C Cable - Allows direct 48V connection between the Power Hub and compatible 48V A/C unit for higher efficiency. Also frees up circuits on the AC/DC panel and reduces conversion losses.

Power Link - Adds sensor/relay functions (water tanks, propane, heaters, etc.) and enables RV-C integration. Recommended sensors.

Power Dock - Expands capacity from 15kWh → 45kWh. Mix 2kWh & 5kWh batteries. Adds compatibility with Delta Pro & Delta 2 Max.

Frequently Asked Questions - click to expand

1.Why choose the EcoFlow Power Kit over traditional DIY systems like Victron?

Professional grade. No complex wiring, custom cables, or deep electrical knowledge required. Save hundreds of hours. Installs in days, not weeks.

2.How long does installation usually take?

Most users install the system in 1-2 days.

3.What is included with an EcoFlow Power Kit?

Each kit includes your selected battery configuration, Power Hub, Distribution Panel, 7" Console, Cable Pack, and battery straps.

4.Is the EcoFlow Power Kit expandable?

Yes. Systems can expand up to 45kWh of storage by adding Power Docks and batteries. You can mix 2kWh and 5kWh batteries. Buy extra batteries here.

5.How does Power Kit handle solar charging?

The Power Hub has three solar-capable inputs with built-in MPPT charging. Different panel groups can use separate inputs, provided each group meets its input’s voltage and current requirements.

6.Can I charge while driving?

Yes, it supports alternator charging while the vehicle is running. Gen 2 kit includes a 3AWG 20-foot alternator cable. See this alternator tips sheet for more info. For a dedicated 48-volt secondary alternator, you need a smart 48-volt alternator connected to a battery port. You can also use a normal 48-volt alternator as long as you pair it with an Arco Zeus regulator.

7.How loud is the EcoFlow Power Kit?

The system operates at just 48 dB under normal load.

8.Can the system automatically start my generator?

Yes. EcoFlow’s Power Link enables auto-generator start based on battery levels, controlled via the app or screen for compatible generators.

9.Is the EcoFlow system safe for RVs and vans?

Yes. All major components are UL-certified and the system includes advanced BMS protections for overcharging, short circuits, and overheating.

10.Does it have over-the-air updates?

Yes. Your system will automatically update via Wi-Fi, keeping it optimized with the latest features and improvements.

11.What happens if shore power is unstable?

EcoFlow’s X-Fusion technology maintains clean, stable output power even if shore input is inconsistent or weak.

12.Can the system work in cold temperatures?

Yes. EcoFlow Power Kits are rated for -25°C to 60°C (-13°F to 140°F) and include cold-weather battery heating.

The future of van power systems

My original build plan was to build a conventional Victron system from the ground up, but having little electrical experience I was super anxious about risks involved. Orion turned me on to EcoFlow and it was a game changer. Truly a plug and play system, simplifying getting power in the van enormously. After a year of use with only a couple of minor start up issues (which helped me solve) it’s been exactly as advertised. My 10kwh system is configured 12v on the output side but 48v on the input side and with three input ports that means I can use 2 for the 5kwh batteries and the third port for my Nomadic X2 48v air con unit which generates close to 13,000 btus- perfect combo. The UI is super simple, elegant and easy to use both on the van mounted console and the smart phone app. With simple hook ups for solar, alternator charging and shore power the system has been powerful and reliable. I see and hear about more and more pro upfitters installing EcoFlow systems rather than conventional systems - there’s a reason for that. Great system - highly recommended.

We are thrilled to hear that our system has simplified the process of getting power in your van and has been reliable for you. We are also glad that the UI has been easy to use and that you have been able to integrate our system with your Nomadic X2 air con unit. Thank you for recommending our product and for choosing EcoFlow. We appreciate your support and are always here to assist you with any questions or concerns. Happy travels!
