The Promaster Side Ladder is purpose-built to work with our Promaster Stealth+ Roof Rack System. Mount it wherever it makes the most sense between the wheel wells so the top lines up with a deck panel and keeps you off solar panels and open roof areas. The triple-kink profile mirrors the Promaster’s body for great looks and everyday function.Installation:
The ladder secures at the top into the Stealth+ Rack’s 8020 channel and at the bottom to the van’s pinch seam with the included bracket. Pair it with our Board Pole and Board Hooks to transport surfboards and paddleboards securely along the exterior of your van.
Compatibility:
2014+ High Roof Ram Promaster Vans with a Stealth+ Roof Rack. *Some DIY 8020 racks may work if within certain measurements, but they may need different length bolts (see image).
Yes for a direct bolt-on installation. Some DIY 8020 racks may be compatible if they match similar dimensions, but you may need different bolt lengths.
Anywhere along the driver side of the van where an 8020 channel is present on the Stealth+ Rack. This lets you position the top to align with a deck panel and avoid stepping on solar panels.
Not with most full-length running boards since they usually block the lower mount. Half-length or three-quarter-length boards are recommended.
The ladder weighs 9 lb and is built from 1.25" aluminum tubing with a premium UV resistant powder coat finish.

We dropped a white cedar plank deck on our Orion Stealth Roof Rack and Ladder. Now, we can't imagine life on the road without it. It's where we go to watch the sky, dry off after a paddle, get some private space, and entertain friends. A single summer on the road with it and this darn thing has seen some action. We've dined on it, meditated, fished from it, we even had a sheriff on top of it looking for a missing paddler at one point. At every campground and stop at least one person wants to check it out. This rack is solid, the ladder is easy to climb and maneuver. Assembly will take a little patience, but once done it is totally worth the time, effort, and price.
The ladder is very nice and sturdy. I did have issues attaching it to my Solis, because like other things that Winnebago did wrong in making the Promaster into an RV. It took some planning and alternative bolts to make it work. Plus, it couldn’t be placed in the recommended location.
But, it is a very nice product.

I bought this ladder to install on my DIY unistrut rack for my promaster. I had to make some custom mounting brackets but it was very simple to do so. The 2-piece ladder design is easy to put together and very rigid when mounted to the van. It's exactly what I wanted.
Great addition to Stealth Rack. Easy access without impeding Rear door. Easy to install. Ideal distance from van side for use and easy cleaning behind. Well done by the Orion Team.
Ladder install was relatively easy, instructions were great. It did take 2 people to install mostly as I was not strong enough to hold it up and attach top bolts. The fit was very good and clearance to bottom hole drilling and attachment was well sized. Have used the ladder multiple times since install and it is very secure.

The Orion ladder is a must have accessory for access to your roof rack, solar panels and other gear. I love the minimalist design that matches so well with the Stealth Rack. The installation was very easy but does require an assistant to help with the test fittings. I can't wait to build my roof deck to take full advantage of the ladder. I unfortunately had already bought/installed a roof rack n my Promaster, but could not find a good quality side mount ladder until I found Orion Van Gear!! Their customer service is truly extraordinary and with a small easy mod I was able to mount the ladder to my existing rack! Love the look and the easy convenience of getting to our extra storage on the roof!

Yes, it does as long as it's a high roof equivalent to the ram promaster. Note that it is designed to attach to our roof rack, which is also compatible. Please email us pictures of your vans for us to verify.
How about a Promaster with a Super High Roof? Is there a newer version of this ladder coming out?
Unfortunately, the Super High Roof ProMaster does not have factory roof pins, so a no-drill solution for attaching a ladder or roof rack is not available.
Mounted my roof rack a few years ago, does anything on the rack need to be taken apart to add this ladder? There’s no way that thing is coming off without cutting all the bolts.
Nope! That's the beauty of our Promaster rack! You can attach an Awning, Ladder, Lights, etc to either side of the rack via our outer 8020 channel slots.
supper product I had been looking for a crossbar rack system for my van's roof rack for more than a year, and this is perfect I did have to enlarge the holes on the foot piece of the cross bar to 11/32 to fit my roof rack hex bolts for mounting, easy peezy
I just finished the install of the MaxxFan Deluxe, replacing a stock vent fan in our new Class C MH. Following the written (and online ‘how to’ videos) guidance, the install was straightforward. Most of the 3.5 hour job was spent cleaning off the old lap sealant in preparation for the new fan.
Fan works well in all functions. Thank you MaxxAir for a good product and thank you Orion for a great sales price!

So quiet. Easy to install. We received the wrong item from Orion (black interior control panel vs white) We contacted them via email and they immediately gave us several options to make it right. The fan works great and the customer service Orion provides is top notch.

Amazing product so far. Big pro is it's low draw on my jacket 600v. 4 days of use and the battery percentage is still at 70%. Convenience of the remote being able to be used from anywhere. The noise level is very low at 40-50% fan power. I chose this unit instead of maxxair because it matched my van aesthetically and it's very low profile that i'm still able to park inside my work's parking structure. The con was during installation, this unit did not come with a sleeve that bridges the gap from the headliner to the fan itself. It did not sit flush and the manual **** that pushes up the metal rod(the longest one) does not reach because of it. I have to rely on the remote. Very good purchase and it's perfect for what i use it for.
We’re glad to hear the NomadicArk fan has been working well for your setup, especially the low power draw, quiet operation, remote control, and low-profile fit for parking structures.
One note on the install: the AirPlus is designed differently than a MaxxFan and does not use or include an interior sleeve. The fan is rated for a maximum roof thickness of about 3 1/8'. By comparison, a MaxxFan 7500K includes a sleeve-style interior garnish that can accommodate a thicker roof/headliner stack, up to about 6'.
