Compact, Expandable Off-Grid Power for Vans and RVs

The EcoFlow 5kWh Power Kit (Gen 1) is an integrated, plug-and-play electrical system designed for camper vans, motorhomes, RVs, trailers, and off-grid applications. Combining a 3,600W pure sine wave inverter with a 5,120Wh lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, it simplifies installation and power management while providing reliable energy storage in a compact system.

The EcoFlow Power Hub integrates inverter, charging, and power management functions into one centralized unit. Recharge your batteries through solar panels, your vehicle's alternator, shore power, or a compatible EcoFlow Smart Generator without the complexity of assembling a traditional multi-component electrical system. Battery storage can be expanded from 5kWh to 10kWh or 15kWh using additional compatible EcoFlow 5kWh batteries. Further expansion is possible on supported configurations using the EcoFlow Power Dock. Also available in 10kWh and 15kWh Gen 1 configurations, subject to remaining inventory.

48V Air Conditioner Compatibility

Unlike Gen 2, the Gen 1 Power Hub does not feature a dedicated 48V DC output. However, a compatible 48V air conditioner can be powered through an available battery port using the appropriate EcoFlow 48V Air Conditioner Cable. The 5kWh configuration uses one of the Power Hub's three battery ports, leaving two available for expansion or a compatible 48V air conditioner. If all three battery ports are occupied, an EcoFlow Power Dock is required to provide additional connection options.

Important: The Gen 1 Power Hub's 12V DC output is limited to 1,000W. Many 12V rooftop air conditioners can exceed this output, particularly under high cooling loads. For this reason, 48V air conditioning is generally the better choice. Always confirm the air conditioner's voltage, operating current, cable protection, and installation requirements.

Optional 48V A/C Cable: Select "YES" under the 48V A/C Cable product option if you would like to add the 20-foot cable to your Power Kit.

EcoFlow 5kWh Power Kit Variants

Choose between three configurations based on your installation and power distribution needs:

Get Set Kit: 3.6kVa Power Hub, 1× 5kWh LFP Battery, and a Cable Pack.
Prepared Kit: Everything in the Get Set Kit, plus a AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel and Battery Mounting Straps.
Independence Kit: Everything in the Prepared Kit, plus a 7-inch Power Kit Console.

The optional 48V A/C cable is included only when selected through the product options. Solar panels, external circuit protection, and additional installation materials are sold separately unless otherwise specified.

EcoFlow Gen 1 Power Kit Components

EcoFlow's integrated system combines four primary components to simplify off-grid electrical installations.

1. EcoFlow Power Hub

The Power Hub consolidates essential electrical functions into a compact, centralized unit, reducing the number of separate components and connections required.

The optional 7-inch full-color LCD touchscreen provides centralized control and monitoring of the Power Kit. View battery capacity, charging input, power consumption, and system status while controlling compatible AC and DC functions. The Console is included with the Independence Kit configuration.

3. EcoFlow AC/DC Smart Distribution Panel

The Smart Distribution Panel simplifies power distribution throughout your camper van or RV. It supports 6 AC circuits and 12 DC circuits, with integrated circuit management and convenient wiring connections. The panel features removable covers, dedicated cable connections, and a compact design for organized electrical installations. Included with the Prepared and Independence Kit configurations.

4. EcoFlow 5kWh LFP Battery

Each 5kWh Power Kit includes one 5,120Wh (51.2V, 100Ah) LiFePO4 battery featuring an integrated Battery Management System (BMS) that monitors voltage, current, and temperature. Built-in automatic heating supports charging in cold-weather environments. The battery is rated for approximately 3,500 cycles to 80% capacity under specified test conditions. Up to three compatible EcoFlow 5kWh batteries can connect directly to the Power Hub, providing 15kWh of storage. Existing 2kWh battery systems are also supported by the Gen 1 platform, but 2kWh and 5kWh batteries should not be mixed on the same Power Hub.

Plug-and-Play Installation

EcoFlow Power Kits use standardized, labeled connections to simplify installation compared with traditional multi-component RV electrical systems. The included Cable Pack provides connections for the core system components. Cable lengths vary by connection type. The future of van power systems

My original build plan was to build a conventional Victron system from the ground up, but having little electrical experience I was super anxious about risks involved. Orion turned me on to EcoFlow and it was a game changer. Truly a plug and play system, simplifying getting power in the van enormously. After a year of use with only a couple of minor start up issues (which helped me solve) it’s been exactly as advertised. My 10kwh system is configured 12v on the output side but 48v on the input side and with three input ports that means I can use 2 for the 5kwh batteries and the third port for my Nomadic X2 48v air con unit which generates close to 13,000 btus- perfect combo. The UI is super simple, elegant and easy to use both on the van mounted console and the smart phone app. With simple hook ups for solar, alternator charging and shore power the system has been powerful and reliable. I see and hear about more and more pro upfitters installing EcoFlow systems rather than conventional systems - there’s a reason for that. Great system - highly recommended.

How loud is the Gen 1 in db's?

EcoFlow does not publish official noise ratings for the PowerKit systems. In real use: Gen 1 PowerKit: about 50 dB when the cooling fans are running under normal load. For the Gen 2 PowerKit: roughly 48 dB, generally the same or slightly quieter than Gen 1. That’s about the level of a quiet office or refrigerator hum. Noise varies based on load and fan speed.
