The Promaster Side Ladder is purpose-built to work with our Promaster Stealth+ Roof Rack System. Mount it wherever it makes the most sense between the wheel wells so the top lines up with a deck panel and keeps you off solar panels and open roof areas. The triple-kink profile mirrors the Promaster’s body for great looks and everyday function.

Installation is straightforward. The ladder secures at the top into the Stealth+ Rack’s 8020 channel and at the bottom to the van’s pinch seam with the included bracket. Pair it with our Board Pole and Board Hooks to transport surfboards and paddleboards securely along the exterior of your van.

Compatibility:

2014+ High Roof Ram Promaster Vans with a Stealth+ Roof Rack. *Some DIY 8020 racks may work if within certain measurements, but they may need different length bolts (see image).

Running Boards: Not compatible with most full-length running boards. Fit varies by manufacturer, but full-length boards typically block the lower ladder mount. For best results, use half-length or three-quarter-length running boards.

1.Does this ladder require a Promaster Stealth+ Roof Rack?

Yes for a direct bolt-on installation. Some DIY 8020 racks may be compatible if they match similar dimensions, but you may need different bolt lengths.

2.Where can I mount the ladder?

Anywhere along the driver side of the van where an 8020 channel is present on the Stealth+ Rack. This lets you position the top to align with a deck panel and avoid stepping on solar panels.

3.Is it compatible with running boards?

Not with most full-length running boards since they usually block the lower mount. Half-length or three-quarter-length boards are recommended.

4.What does it weigh and what is it made of?

The ladder weighs 9 lb and is built from 1.25" aluminum tubing with a premium UV resistant powder coat finish.

5.Can I carry surfboards or SUPs with this ladder installed?

Yes. It is compatible with our Board Pole and Board Hooks to transport surfboards and paddleboards on the outside of your van.

6.Is installation difficult?

Installation is simple. All necessary hardware is included to mount the ladder to the rack’s 8020 channel at the top and to the pinch seam at the bottom.

Our New Favorite Spot to Hang Out

We dropped a white cedar plank deck on our Orion Stealth Roof Rack and Ladder. Now, we can't imagine life on the road without it. It's where we go to watch the sky, dry off after a paddle, get some private space, and entertain friends. A single summer on the road with it and this darn thing has seen some action. We've dined on it, meditated, fished from it, we even had a sheriff on top of it looking for a missing paddler at one point. At every campground and stop at least one person wants to check it out. This rack is solid, the ladder is easy to climb and maneuver. Assembly will take a little patience, but once done it is totally worth the time, effort, and price.

Promaster ladder

The ladder is very nice and sturdy. I did have issues attaching it to my Solis, because like other things that Winnebago did wrong in making the Promaster into an RV. It took some planning and alternative bolts to make it work. Plus, it couldn’t be placed in the recommended location.

But, it is a very nice product.

The best side ladder solution for DIY'ers

I bought this ladder to install on my DIY unistrut rack for my promaster. I had to make some custom mounting brackets but it was very simple to do so. The 2-piece ladder design is easy to put together and very rigid when mounted to the van. It's exactly what I wanted.

Great addition to Stealth Rack. Easy access without impeding Rear door. Easy to install. Ideal distance from van side for use and easy cleaning behind. Well done by the Orion Team.

Ladder

Ladder install was relatively easy, instructions were great. It did take 2 people to install mostly as I was not strong enough to hold it up and attach top bolts. The fit was very good and clearance to bottom hole drilling and attachment was well sized. Have used the ladder multiple times since install and it is very secure.

Great side ladder for Ford Transit! We've got a 2023 Ford Transit 350 High Roof XL AWD with the Orion Van Gear Stealth rack and just installed the side ladder to go with it. It fits nicely with the side profile of the van and has been rock solid on two road trips so far. If you've got a roof rack and need an easy way to climb up to it, this is a great fit.

Great roof rack for Transit! We've been rocking the Stealth Roof Rack on our 2023 Ford Transit 350 High Roof XL AWD for a year now and it's been excellent. No noise, vibration, wind drag and it's designed nicely to snug up against the roofline. We ordered ours with the 2X scene (rear flood) lights and I highly recommend that. It's a nice easy way to shine some light on your loadouts and load-ins at night or while the sun is coming or going!

Great rack for my 2023 Ford Transit 350 High Roof XL AWD! Have had it on for a year now and have no noise, vibration or wind drag issues. It's solid and nicely designed to lay flat against the roofline.

I am adding an extra battery to my system. The Ecofliw has been a great system. This will double the capacity. It was very easy to adopt and it is working flawlessly. Shipping was quick and I didn’t have any issues.

I had no issues with the installation of this fan. I was removing a Maxxair fixed vent unit in my car trailer and the opening was 14¼" x 14¼". An opening any larger and **** down the new unit would have been difficult. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the IR beam on the remote control is very narrow and has to be pointing directly at the unit in order to operate - I was hoping to use the remote while it was seated in the wall holder near the door, but no big deal.

I questioned ordering from Orion Van Gear but they had good reviews so I gave it a try. I ordered a Maxxair 00-07500K vent fan, they had it at a very good price. I received it in a week, the part was what I ordered and in good shape. I would recommend Orion Van Gear, if they have something I need, I would use them again. I won't Install the fan until spring (it's December now) so I can't give a review on how the fan works.

As advertised, straight forward install. Seems expensive, but it is way more stout than a strip of LED lights that goes on with adhesive. Slides into existing groove so there's no way its coming loose.

Orion Van Gear is an amazing small business! I had 1 solar panel arrive shattered and reported it to the carrier and Orion. Orion apologized and sent me a replacement the next business day. They even coordinated the claim with the carrier.

I am impressed with their customer service. Not once did I get the run-around and they kept me abreast of every action to resolve the mishap.
